Well I did it! I adopted a shelter dog today! Hre is our newest member of our family with Sya. Her name is Baby Vixen. Avbit bigger than I expected but we love her!

Thank you everyone I am glad we have her. She is a lot bigger than I expected tho. Still love her! Decided to call her peaches. We had a list of names and the one she came to was Peaches.

Winter strawberries are perfect for dipping in chocolate, and I noticed the other day that the strawberry stand by my daughter’s house ALREADY has strawberries! Maybe I should make some for Christmas…

Tom Sandoval is an actor/bartender on the reality drama “Vanderpump Rules” on the Bravo network. I’m friends with his mother Terri. Tom grew up in St. Louis and comes back a few times a year. I ate too much. I drank too much. (can’t believe I said that) I laughed till I cried, many times. Such fun and silliness. Played rummoli for the first time in years and won! Man, I had an awesome Christmas with my great friends. Once again, Shannon was my partner in crime and neither of us could talk this morning as our voices were so hoarse (neigh) from laughing. We had a sleepover at my host & hostesses house because of the drinking laws up here. Good plan. AND now I plan on sleeping for 12 hrs. straight. Amen.

Due to lack of work, I’m gonna make a drive from N Ohio down to Florida’s east coast to visit my 92 y.o. mother for New Year’s week. I’ll be passing back thru the ATL area on Thursday Jan 02, and will be meeting up with several fellow B&Pers & a few spouses at Hooters, 860 Duluth Hwy, Lawrenceville GA, that evening starting around 6PM for a Sudden N GA Little BABBQ.
Anyone wanna come?…these are all great folks who you already know, who’ve been brought together thanks to Jonco & B&P. We can talk openly about anyone who doesn’t show lol.

Does anyone celebrate New Year’s Eve? I can only remember a few times as a teen, and never fond of the boring music shows like Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve and others. Our past years have been at home with my hubby as we avoided staying off the roads because of the amateurs. A friend texted today that she bought lobster, crab legs and shrimp, but will prepare at dinner time since she won’t be awake to ring in the New Year. We’ll be lucky to get to the grocery before it closes to snag some crusty french bread and enjoy some melted brie. I just want my dayrunner to be set up with the 2014 holidays, birthdays & anniversaries. Must be old-farts syndrome…
Growing up, my parents used to host a party, with full-on homemade Chinese food, and lots of drinking. Now, with my kids, we skip the food and go straight to the drinking part. (The kids are adults…) I do have a craft project I’ll be doing with the grandkids up until I can’t craft anymore, but they’ve gotten used to MomMom (me) getting falling down giggly at New Year’s Eve. 🙂

New Years Eve used to be a big party night for us, but in the last several years it’s been pretty low key. Sometimes we get together with family and play cards or games and sometimes we just stay home and try to stay up til midnight. That gets harder and harder every year.

My wife and I went to a New Years Eve party for the first time ever in 38 years of marriage. After having been there and done that, I would have much rather been home with free drinks and snacks, watching football…
Happy 2014 Everyone. I laughed at hcmom coz that’s what I did. We all knew (surprise) that friends of ours were going to get engaged at midnight last night and thanks to social media, I was at home but felt like I was there. Such a happy occasion when two people that you truly love and are meant for each other make the commitment. It was just great. Never had so much fun being by myself with my doggies and yakking with everyone on FB. This is MY year. I’m gonna love 2014 and have already kicked 2013 to the curb. Too much beers and giggling myself last night, gots a wee bit of a headache today. All will be good tomorrow. 🙂

Hcmom thinks she had a good time on New Year’s Eve, but it’s all a blur…
Usually we have a bonfire with our Christmas tree but this year we went to see fireworks. (Plus we didn’t have a real tree this year) Sya didn’t want to stay awake but luckily she did. She slept through the fireworks at Christmas. It was so much fun just seeing the look on her face. She loved it.

I have been thinking that I was probably sharing too many pictures because, as her mom, I think she is adorable and amazing! Lol but you asked for it! Here is how she was all snuggled for New Year’s Eve. We didn’t have any gloves for her so we put her hands under her blanket, which my mom crocheted for her. Well she found her own finger holes and showed us that we aren’t going to cover her fingers. Lol (my mom made the hat also)[img]

Had a nice evening with DJ, infi, Gary Tallant and his wife. We swapped stories and lies and observations about other B&P folks. One fellow B&Per that we agreed that we would like to meet is Matt, but with him in England, that will be tricky.
One of these days we will all meet up and have one hell of a party! If ever you are in Matts neck of woods give me a bell as I am only across the little water called Irish Sea.

It was really great seeing Infi, Richard, and Gary & Mrs T in Atlanta. (Gary definitely married ‘up’, and I know he would agree lol). Being with these folks again is like being with old friends. And it’s been that way whenever I’ve met other B&Pers too, whether down there in Atlanta, in Florida, or in St Louis. We’re never strangers….when we meet for the first time, we already have things in common… we’ve interacted online about where we live, our families, our interests, our politics and our health, some of us our joys and sorrows.
If anyone is ever off on a road trip to another part of the country, come on in here and let all of us know… there’s B&Pers all over the US & Canada, and a relaxed evening at a local restaurant with a few new old friends is always fun.

Someone with more brain power than me has to figure out the center point between Ireland, England, Australia, USA, Canada, The Philipines, and whomever else I’m missing, and we’ll have to plan another BABBQ. Jonco,your picture there remind me of the joke I pulled on one of my brothers once. We both live in middle Tn., him in the north and me in the south part. A few years ago a cold front was coming in and as this one today, him toward the north was to get more snow than I. That morning he was on facebook talking about his 3 inches of snow. I came on and commented why he only had 3″ when we already had 7″. He said he didn’t believe me, so I told him to hold on and I would take a picture. I had a 12″ ruler that was broke in half, stuck it in the 1″ of snow on the top of my car with my laptop sitting beside of it showing his post for time reference and took a pic. I post the picture in the comments and to this day I don’t know if he knew what I did.
