A friend performed in this piece that this viral photo was taken. He says: “This was performed by the Texas tech Symphonic Wind ensemble. The piece is called “Circus Maximus” and ends with a shotgun blast! There are trumpet lined all around the hall in the audience as well (the part I played)” He confirms it was a blank that was shot. (I should hope so!)

Thanks Jon A

  1. Only in Texas. Although I’m surprised they were thoughtful enough to use blanks. As for the dress, it’s Texas Tech.
