A friend performed in this piece that this viral photo was taken. He says: “This was performed by the Texas tech Symphonic Wind ensemble. The piece is called “Circus Maximus” and ends with a shotgun blast! There are trumpet lined all around the hall in the audience as well (the part I played)” He confirms it was a blank that was shot. (I should hope so!)

Never seen a Symphonic anything so casually dressed.
Maybe they should have brought out the cannons and follow with the 1812 Overture.
Only in Texas. Although I’m surprised they were thoughtful enough to use blanks. As for the dress, it’s Texas Tech.
