  1. Or brewing some coffee. A dear friend shared with me about bringing a cousing over from Nova Scotia. Driving along the cousin remarked, “What a lovely aroma.” “That’s a skunk.” I friend replied, incredulously. Cousin, “Smells just like coffee.”

    • I wonder if this is an east coast gene thing? Growing up in NB, I couldn’t distinguish between skunk and a few other smells – coffee included – and have never found skunk to be a bad smell at all. (On the other hand, I have to leave the room when someone lights a match because the sulphur smell makes me violently ill.) People sure are interesting, eh?
