Almost none of the original Fleming episodes survive. Videotape was very expensive in the ’60’s, and NBC routinely “wiped” the tapes and reused them. It’s a shame we lost all that “Jeopardy”. but this pales compared to the loss of nearly all the episodes of “The Tonight Show” during the same period.
