Weather: After a couple of cool days, summer is trying to get its last hurrah in this week before turning a little cooler later in the week.
The week: Spending the weekend at a reunion of old friends, many of whom I’ve known for 50+ years. Sunday night we’re going to see the Rolling Stones kick off their No Filter Tour in St. Louis. I don’t go to many concerts these days but I wanted to see the Stones.
TV: We really didn’t watch much TV this week as I was working on a video project most evenings.
That’s it from B&P Headquarters in St. Louis. What’s going on in your world?
Your mentioning the concert reminds me of this Stephen Wright joke: “The Stones. I can’t believe they are still around after all these years. Fred, Barney,…”
I started binge watching “Andromeda” – a show from 2000-2005 that Gene Roddenberry. It is interesting.
I hope its a good concert but without Charlie its just not the Stones
Exciting stuff over here, final deep clean of everything before it turns to fall. Including the dog, she’ll be so excited. She despises a bath.
Been watching Reservation Dogs, What we do in the Shadows, Kim’s Convenience, finished Lucifer, and as always Supernatural is a favorite.
Report back on the Stones show. I saw them around 30 yrs ago on the ‘Steel Wheels’ tour at LA Coliseum. Living Color, Guns and Roses and the Stones! I thought they were pretty good for a bunch of old guys.
Wife is out of town for the weekend. I usually just put some old blue/bluegrass on the Amazon thing and read or putter about.
Thought I’d watch a couple of Netflix/Amazon shows people have been telling me about.
Ballad of Buster Scruggs – first episode is epic. Everything Coen brothers distilled into a 5 min short.
Garth Marenghi’s Darkplace – the funniest thing I’ve seen in years. Hard to describe. Intentionally the most worst hospital show you could possibly make if you really tried to do everything the worst way you could?
Swedish Dicks – a low budget show about two Swedish PI’s in LA. The name alone makes it almost impossible to share, which is hilarious on it’s own level. Like anyone will say, ‘ I really like Swedish Dicks’.
Swedish Dicks with Peter Stomare. I so want to watch that. I know it’s hilarious from the clips I’ve seen. He’s one of the best actors in my opinion, great in everything he does. Great choice. Also, anything with Richard Ayode in it is a winner. Have you tried the IT crowd? It has Matt Berry in it as well, later in the series.
Yes, I’ve watched all of the IT Crowd. I enjoyed that.
I think you will like Swedish Dicks! Damn, that still makes me laugh.
I travel for a living and usually watch shows while I’m out of the country. I’ll add IT crowd to the queue.
