    • I had one other person (so far) tell me some images weren’t showing up for them. They’re showing up on my computer.

      • Interestingly, the URL for the image above is:
        https: //i0.wp.com/www.bitsandpieces.us/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Big-baby.jpg?w=480&ssl=1
(Note: I deliberately put a space after https so that it displays.)
If I put the URL directly into the address bar of my browser I get the following message:
We cannot complete this request, remote server returned an unexpected status code (400)

        If I change it to:
        https: //www.bitsandpieces.us/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/Big-baby.jpg?w=480&ssl=1
then I can view the image.

This has only been happening in the past week or so (I think, but it’s hard to keep track of time at the moment). I can still see most images, so it does seem to be quite random. For example, I can see the image on the next post fine:
        https: //www.bitsandpieces.us/2021/04/14/a-pyramid-scheme/
And that uses the same https: //i0.wp.com/www.bistandpieces.us/… type URL that doesn’t work for this post.

It could be just me, but it does seem to be a strange one.

        • It’s possible it could be related to a plugin incompatibility. Plugins get updated regularly, often for security reasons, and that can sometimes cause issues. I’m not smart enough in those matters to determine exactly what’s going on. I’ll try to keep an eye out for others bloggers having similar issues and any possible fixes.
A perfect example… I just got a notice that WordPress itself (the software I use for the sites) has an update coming in the next day or two. Hopefully, that might fix this issue.

Almost everything else views fine and, as you said, hopefully the next update sorts it. I’d also like to thank you for the many, many years of great content you’ve shared. I can’t tell you how many days you’ve brightened for me and so many others. Cheers, Jonco!

  1. Hello!

I also deal with the issue of images, which is mentioned above.

The remarks made by Colin also apply for me.
(changing the URL of the images – seeking solutions to occasional issues!)

Maybe the issue has to do with the functionality of i0.wp.com, i1.wp.com, etc.
Οr even with the region from which one reads the blog.

    And something I just tried:
If you try “Using Visual Search” (Search by Image URL) It does not return any results

However, I would also like to say that I (we) enjoy the content you have been sharing all these years

    Thank you!
