I saw James Randi 47 years ago in Niagara Falls, Ontario on Halloween night. A psychic “contacted” Harry Houdini, and there were books and papers flying off shelves and a few other phenomena. Randi debunked the whole thing and showed how everything was done. Fun and memorable.
Randi was a pretty wonderful guy if you weren’t trying to scam anyone. Even as recently as just a few years ago, you couldn’t sit down for a meal with him without him showing off some of his magic tricks.
