Weekend Open Mic

Weather: In a word: HOT… then throw in some storms!

The week ahead: I really don’t have any big plans for the weekend. I have a couple of steaks to grill.   I might change the oil in my lawn tractor, but otherwise, it’s too hot to do much outside.

Me: Next Friday I’ll be celebrating completing another trip around the sun.  I’ve made a lot of those trips. My back is finally quite a bit better… probably 90% back to normal, though I still don’t have a lot of stamina and can’t do anything for a long time.  Friday morning I was thinking that I feel better than I have in the last month or two.  Then within a couple of hours, I was aching.  LOL  I guess that comes with all those trips around the sun.

TV: We finished the second season of Imposters (Netflix) 8/10.  I enjoyed it. We watched one episode of Hinterland (Netflix).  Not sure what to watch next.

That’s it from B&P Headquarters in St. Louis. What’s going on in your world?

  1. I now know someone personal with covid. My daughters best friend. Senior in college in Kansas. He did everything right until his roommate threw a party at the apartment. He said he stayed in his room madder than hell because asked the roomie not to have the party. Poor kid is going to be all alone ( he is from Arkansas ) and I’m heartbroken. I’m going to send a care package, what suggestions can you give me to include in the box?

    • Too bad you can’t put a new roommate in there.
Gift cards he can redeem online, like apple or Netflix. Find out if he has any gaming systems and wants a particular game. Maybe some funny socks or sweatshirts/t-shirts. (My roommate had a party and all I got was this lousy Covid) Too much, I’m sorry I have a dark sense of humor.
One of my co-workers has had it. Thankfully she was young and healthy and survived. Best of wishes for your daughters friend.

      • Oh God thats too damn funny. I thought about the socks just not the personalized t-shirt. We have tons of t-shirt shops here in Myrtle Beach and I’ll get it tomorrow. Thank You !!!!!

        • You’re welcome, glad to help. Glad I didn’t offend. Not everyone gets my sense of humor. LOL

  2. Wow! You realize the Earth has traveled about 42,069,046,752 miles around the sun in your time on her? So far. Here’s to at least another 17,528,769,480. Keep peddling!

    • That’s a lot of miles. I think the earth and I, both have had our Check Engine lights on for some time.
