Ringo Starr – Grow Old With Me

Ringo Starr turns 80 years old today. He was born July 7, 1940.

Ringo Starr is celebrating a milestone birthday this year with a little help from his friends.

Turning 80, the drummer is bringing a celebratory concert to YouTube on Tuesday, (that’s tonight at 8E, 7C and 5P times) and everyone with an internet connection is invited.

Dubbed “Ringo’s Big Birthday Show,” the event is set to include the talents of Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr., Sheila E. and Ben Harper along with his own All-Star Band.

  1. I really think Ringo missed the mark on this. This song wasn’t meant to have dirty guitar licks and heavy drums. He should have followed John’s demo of it. Maybe even bring John’s voice in, from time to time. And…alright, we get it – all the stars – we get it, it’s a Ringo recording of a John Lennon song.
