Weekend Open Mic

Weather: A hot and humid but at least dry 4th of July here.

The week: We really don’t have any plans for the weekend except maybe working outside since I’m finally starting to feel better.

My aching body:  It’s been three rough weeks since I threw my back out.  Then I had episodes with sore joints in my shoulders and hips.  I had upped my anti-inflammatory meds (doctor’s advice) and they finally started kicking in Thursday and Friday.  I was still pretty weak and couldn’t stay up on my feet for too long.  Friday I did some yard work and did a lot more than I thought I’d be able to do. I did have to take several breaks but I really think I’ve turned the corner on this and can see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. Yay!

TV:  We watched Hamilton (Disney+) Friday night. WOW… lots of verbiage! It was very good.  We’re on the 3rd season of Marcella (Netflix) 7.5/10.  I think I liked the first two seasons better but the third is growing on me.  Up next: Probably Hinterland and The Imposter.

That’s it from B&P Headquarters in St. Louis. What’s going on in your world?

  1. Remember, when you see the light at the end of the tunnel it could be a fast train heading your way.

  2. I meant to add please take it easy, I did a similar thing years back and started working in the garden too soon.
Had three months off work as a result.

  3. I decided to hang around the house this year. Our beaches are getting invaded by L.Aliens and Zonies. You can almost see the covid in the air. It could be pollution from all the vehicles coming into town?

    My favorite meme so far…

  4. Here in SC its more of the same. Some coastal towns begrudgingly mandated masks. Today is my last day at the campground. I love that damn job but I decided to take my own advice. When talking to folks on the phone I’m asked about Covid down here and should they make reservations. I tell them that it is up to you and your fellow man to take care of your health. We the People have been hung out to dry.
