  1. Actually, for the last 56 years or so, if a male US engineer is making more than a female US engineer with the same experience, a law has been broken.

    In fact, in any position, the Equal Pay Act of 1963, states (and I am paraphrasing here) that two people in the same position with the same experience should be paid the same despite what sex they are.
