  1. What a comedic genius. I always liked watching him and see who cracked up first–him or Harvey.

    Mel Blanc, Charles Schultz, Douglas Adams, Tim Conway, and others–pieces of my childhood dying.

  2. A local boy from here in the Greater Cleveland area. I can still remember him when he was on local WJW-TV8, partnering in local comedy shows with another guy who would also go on to Hollywood…. Ernie Anderson.

    I know he’s lauded for his Carol Burnett performances, but one of my favorite shows when I was a teen was McHale’s Navy, with Tim Conway as the bumbling Ensign Parker.

    He always still had fam & friends in NE Ohio, and visited back often.
