  1. At the time of writing this comment,
34% (28 votes) want Daylight Saving Time all year,
49% (40 votes) want Standard Time all year.
If it’s Daylight Saving all year then sunrise will be at 8-9 am in most of the US during the winter.
If it’s Daylight Standard all year then then sunset will be at 9-10 pm in most of the US during the summer.
So the real question becomes are 83% of people
    myopically selfish?
    russian social media bots?
bereft of basic science and common sense?

  2. I think it’s funny that the point of it is to get people to start their day an hour earlier. They want everyone with a job to go into work an hour early. However if you told people that work starts at 7 instead of 8 there would be a huge amount of angry pissed off people. Tell everyone to change their clocks and everyone is like “ah, fine” and they show up an hour earlier.

  3. It’s been a hundred years. Farmers have headlights on their tractors. It’s time for daylight savings time to die. It’s irritating, it causes accidents and lost work, and provides no useful function. “But there’s daylight later!” Streetlights are a thing. We don’t have to be afraid of the dark anymore.

  4. I don’t care which one we pick – I don’t care if we move the clocks one hour, or three, or seventeen – whatever we decide, just Stick With It. Quit changing the time! Are we not Men?? Pick one, then knock this silliness off. Civilized indeed…
