I find it endlessly amusing that this pops up about once a year.
I took this photo – he’s my Dad. He landed the sled just fine, but dumped it soon after because he didn’t think he’d win the fight with the large tree he was headed towards, hence the look of concern on his face.
When it hit reddit a few years ago I figured he’d be mortified, but he has really enjoyed it.
Thats so cool.
Some day, decades from now when he passes, you should print this picture for his wake to show what a cool older man he was.
If it were me, I’d probably be thinking, “Did I close the garage door?”
It was printed poster size for a party soon after.
I need to go dig out the originals – I’m almost certain it was a sequence of 5 or 6 frames. Might be a fun animated .gif.
I’m also trying to figure out why I’m not rich. I have a photo that goes at least moderately viral about once a year, but have yet to figure out how to make a dime off it.
