Weather: We’re ending the year a little above average in temperatures but it will be closer to normal as the week begins.
The weekend: Don’t have any big New Year’s Eve party plans. Might go to a movie and out to dinner and/or might visit with family and play games Saturday evening.
Around the house: On Friday the concrete guy came and power washed the patio and sealed it. It doesn’t have the color variation that I had expected. The plan is to work around the yard, attic and in the patio room this weekend. Click image to enlarge.
Binging: We’re about half way through season 2 of The Killing on Netflix. It really keeps you guessing.

I think my favorite thing was the Cubs winning the World Series. It was about damn time!
Least favorite?? All the celebrities that died. I figure David Bowie started an alternate universe and is hand picking those who join him. He and Debbie Reynolds are performing ‘Singing in the Stardust’ right now.
I saw a piece on the news this morning that said there really weren’t more celebrities than usual that died in 2016 but there were a few more higher caliber, or A-listers, that did which makes it seem worse.
I think Abe Vigoda plugged up the tubes for so long, so that when he finally went earlier this year a few dozen more got sucked along behind him.

Zsa Zsa Gabor was another who just seemed to not want to go.
I think it was that so many of them were icons of our youth.
Meanwhile, Carrie Fisher runs into George Michael in the afterlife, she says, “Oh man, I’m a huge fan! I’ve got every one of your albums except the first one.”
George replies, “I find your lack of ‘Faith’ disturbing”.

Well, I’ve got big plans! Chaos and I are staying home. I plan to wear pajamas and fuzzy slippers and binge on something on Netflix. I’ve been watching That 70’s Show again. My neighbors have been setting off fireworks the past couple of nights already, so I’m sure tonight will be no exception. Chaos hates it, of course. I’ll be here to comfort her, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

We went to the movies and saw Fences with Denzel Washington. Then just went home. Not sure I’ll make it to the new year.
Uhh… not make it to the New Year as in, gonna fall asleep before midnight, or… you’re gonna join David Bowie in his alternate universe? Hopefully not!
I think I meant not make it awake til midnight… Hopefully not the alternative deeep sleeep. But, it’s after 11 pm here in STL, so who knows… I might make it.
