It’s not gutted. They simply removed all the stuff that’s made in China and left everything else in place.

I don’t know why, but pictures like this creep me out! I don’t know why either.
In the Metro Detroit area, there are several Walmart’s as well as Sam’s Clubs like this. Once the tax incentives end, they move out; lock, stock & barrel. It hits hard on an area that has been so mangled by the economy.
I’m seeing mixed messages: the signs look like Walmart, but that red cart looks like Target.
Maybe this is like the one near me: They built a much bigger an nicer Walmart and closed the old, small, decrepit one. The new building is probably about 1,000 yards from the old one as the crow flies.

That is actually a former K-Mart.
Well it is actually an old Zellers in Canada and it is now a Target
