Weekend Open Mic

Weekend open mic

Forecast feb 1Weather:  We’re getting a little rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow Friday night and Saturday.  Then it’s supposed to clear out Sunday.  A pretty powerful snow storm will be making its way through these parts on Tuesday that has the potential for heavy accumulation.  Have I mentioned that I’m tired of winter and snow and ice and cold?  Well, in case I haven’t, I am.

Busy weekend:  I’m doing a Trivia Night Saturday night which I’ve been working on most of this week.  Then I plan to relax on Sunday and attend a Super Bowl party with friends.

That’s it from damp, wet, cold, icy B&P World Headquarters in St. Louis…

What’s going on in your world?

  1. What a crazy winter here in the States! Chicago area got 6-10 inch fresh snow, now below zero temps coming and more snow tuesday/wednesday. When I used to live in Wisonsin, I would follow St. Louis weather to track what should come our way… not this year! Here in FL, there have been unseasonal cold dips and now a week of above average mid-70s to 80. Wacky. Whatever the temp or conditions hope all the B&P’ers are comfy.

  2. I hear ya Jonco. Me too! We’re having a wee cold snap but got the woodstove burning. It’s been a fairly mild winter as far as ours usually go but you never know what next week will bring? When we’ve got a dump of snow this year, it’s usually 2 to 3 feet or more at a time. Only around 50 more days till SPRING. 🙂

  3. It’s been a little cooler here (high 60’s), and we even had a forecast of possible showers a couple of times. Sadly, not a drop. They’re now saying that this may be the worst drought EVER.

  4. Holy crap, Jonco. You got some pretty wicked temperature swings down there. Is that normal or are the weather people in Atlanta just playing darts again?

    • I guess it’s fairly typical for January. Sometimes it just gets cold and stays cold and other times it jumps all around like this week.
We got about an inch of snow Saturday night that’s still on the ground. We’re supposed to get 3 to 6 inches on Tuesday.
Atlanta goes crazy with an inch or two of snow and ice because they don’t have the salt and plows like we do here and I’m sure up there by you. We hanle the snow well but that ice is a different thing.
