So I guess (American) Thanksgiving has evolved into getting a day off, being able to watch football for 12 hours, pigging out, and then getting to experience what it is like to have a disaster in a 3rd world country and scramble for a bag of rice.
Yep. That sums it up pretty well.
Where we live my wife has never seen or been involved in any crazy stuff or riots while doing black Friday sales.
I make it a point never to shop on Black Friday, and, needless to say, wouldn’t even consider shopping on Thanksgiving Day.
