To make sure it is clean? I’ll take a clear toilet to the European style trophy case. The toilets in Europe often are not floaters, in other words your excrement sits there and aerates until you flush when it is pushed off of the porcelain and down a hole. I’m sure it has water savings, but you are forced to scrub your skid marks off of it every time you use it and you cannot follow anyone into the toilet room for fear of losing your sense of smell(with any luck) and vision.

I read about clear toilets just the other day – I think it is for customs to use to catch drug mules. They make the suspected mule sit until they shit, and examining through a clear toilet is much easier on the customs officials than physically rooting through a stranger’s stool.
