  1. Many Cornish fishing villages have deep harbours and no boat floats since the tides empty out the harbour on a regular basis. Coastline is too steep to allow for much more than homes on a hillside, so the boats are anchored down and when the tide is high, you take your skiff out to the boat. Anyone else out there ever watched “Doc Martin”??
