Apparently the state of Kansas was wiped off the map by Tropical Storm Isaac as seen in this graphic.
The whole state of Kansas went missing according to this paper.
They have since removed the graphic graphic probably because it was too graphic.
We’re heading for Kansas first thing in the morning. What are we going to do now?
Thanks Bill the Painter
I’m no meteorologist, but I’m pretty sure storm systems gain strength and size when they’re over warm ocean waters, and LOSE strength and size over land… but somehow every graph I’ve seen shows this huge cone covering half of central usa.
They are indicating the possible path of the eye, not the storm’s affected area.
Yep, what tinsoldier said. It’s the projected path of the storm. That’s why it ALWAYS gets bigger and bigger.
By the way, Rock Chalk Cornhuskers?
Ah… That definitely makes more sense. 😀
I guess there are some people who aren’t in Kansas anymore.
Well, I’m in Kansas and I’m here to tell you it’s still here!
The republicans are out redrawing voting districts, and using Isaac for an excuse.
