For those of us who love corn on the cob, this is an absolute must see! No mess to preparing it, no silks to try to brush out of the corn, it comes out clean.
Thanks Janet B

This is great! I live for the 1 month when fresh field corn is here. Has anyone used this method before, or is this new?
My corn is now about two feet out of the ground and I can hardly wait to try this method of preparation. I live for summer with fresh corn and tomatoes…
I have 50 tomato plants now
mmmmmmm, home grown tomatoes! 🙂
I’m certainly going to try this method. I tried the rubber band method and all it did was really bruise all the kernels while trying to get off the silk. This way should work well on the bbq too.
You need to repost this in the fall when the crop comes in.
Fall? How far North do you live? Around here, corn starts coming in around the end of June or the first of July.
We don’t get our corn until late July – mid August depending on weather. 🙁 If it’s too little we just throw it in a stir-fry.
I had to search this and then I tried this. Wonderful. 2 cobs of corn (poured water in the husks) and 8:30 minutes and they were both fantastic. Yummers.
Cool! Glad it worked out for you. I haven’t tried it yet.
