This video was shot at Teahupo’o in Tahiti (terrifying on an average day) when the waves were labeled “double code red” by the French Navy.

I would’ve liked to seen at least some of it in real time, not all slow motion. Incredible though.
I’m really sick of slow motion videos. Watching someone surf is much more impressive in real time.
I wonder how many bathing suits the dude lost riding those waves?
This photo here of Teahupoo has always been one of my favorites. It was my wallpaper for a long time.

That is one of the most beautiful, and scary, waves I have ever seen.
Were any of those surfers never seen again?
Awesome viewed in full screen.
