Bach Prelude Partita No. 3 for Solo Violin – Shannon O’Donnell

Shannon O’Donnell on banjo playing Bach’s Partitia No. 3 for Violin.   You don’t typically think of classical music and the banjo in the same thought…unless you’re a Bela Fleck fan of course…so it seemed like a good challenge for me.

Thanks Shannon

  1. I would imagine this guy could play anything on the banjo, he must be on a par with Roy Clark, that was quite a bit of work, or it looked like it.

  2. Hmmm. This would be lovely played as pre-processional music at an outdoor country wedding. Wonder if he’s available? Thanks for the idea Jonco!

  3. I seem to be the only commentor who does not care for this interpretation. This was slow, flat and uninspiring. Listen to what Jascha Heifetz does with it…

  4. This doesn’t really move me, but I sure recognize the talent and hard work that went into that. There is so much music in so many people.
