  1. Ha! One of my friends in college was actually his neighbor in Pennsylvania! This was at the height of Eddie Murphy’s Mr. Robinson’s Neighbor’Hood. She couldn’t understand why “everyone makes fun of him. He’s such a nice man.”

  2. I LOVED that show as a kid. I don’t know why but it was always my favorite part when he throws the second shoe into his hand.

  3. I didn’t notice him aging as a kid, when I was in my 20’s or early 30’s maybe I caught a glimpse of a show and did a double take, wow, when did Mr.Rogers go grey?

  4. I knew mommyhood had reduced my brain to mush when my toddlers would climb off my lap to play and I would still sit and finish watching Mr. Rogers. What a sweet show.

Before his iconic PBS show, he had a program on a local Pittsburgh station that I watched when I was a kid.

  5. I cried when Mr. Rogers passed away. The man embodied kindness, love, and support for your fellow man. I’m an elementary school teacher, and each day I strive to bring as many of those kind, loving, supportive elements to my classroom as I possibly can.
