I’m glad someone enjoyed it. Such things terrify me. I went to a “star trek” exhibit in Las Vegas a dozen years ago. Props, uniforms, episode descriptions. Kind of interesting. Then they herded a group of us into a box, saying that it was a space trip. Sure! Sit in the seats, watch movies out of the “windows”. That could be fun. No. It was a true 3-axis simulator. And showed us flying around and through a space station. Then being attacked by (Cardassians?), and taking evasive maneuvers. I kept my eyes closed, concentrated on breathing slowly and evenly, and just barely got through it without screaming for them to stop. . . No no, not for me.
I can do a Merry-go-round. But the hair on the back of my neck still stands up when the devil’s music starts. . . Do do do-dool do do do do do. . .
And you’re a race car driver?
Yeah. I’m strapped into the car with a 5-point harness, inside a roll cage and wearing a helmet. And I AM IN CONTROL. Nearly impossible to hurt myself, certain decapitation events aside. . .
Glad to see he ended smiling.
