The carefully constructed brick outhouses at Thomas Jefferson’s retreat at Poplar Forest, 65 miles south of Monticello, show that even presidents answer to a higher calling: that of nature.

does it have a door
Are you planning on using it?
There is a very similar outhouse in the garden at Mount Vernon, George Washington’s home. There are also non-functioning outhouses located in Williamsburg, VA. My grandparents used an outhouse until the 1970’s. You would have to be really desparate to use it in the middle of the night. No lights and very cold.
